LINQ Explained
Since its establishment in 2020, LINQ was conceived as a modular housing solution that could deliver desirable living spaces that are both reliable and robust. Today, we speak with LINQ’s General Manager, who tells us more about the origins of the business and how it is positioned to bring disruptive change to the sector.
What was the motivation behind establishing LINQ?
LINQ was the brainchild of several Dubai-based executives of main contractor, ALEC Engineering & Contracting who saw an opportunity to create sustainable, high-quality modular housing that could easily be shipped to both the regional and international markets. Since this time, our team have been continuously working towards creating a carbon neutral solution that is fast and straight forward to assemble, meaning a great solution for both developers and individuals seeking to do their part for the environment, without sacrificing quality.
When will your first houses be ready for shipment?
We have already generated several designs which are ready for production. Currently, we are in the process of fitting out our brand-new facility in Dubai Investment Park, which will be our central base of operation. Once fully operational, we expect to be producing our first, ready-to-ship houses.. While we’re initially aiming to produce a few units in our first year, our location enables us to scale our operations quickly, meaning greater agility to work with the requirements of our customers.
What is your vision for the future of LINQ?
Simply, to provide residents with a higher standard of living, while ensuring a sustainable, operating lifecycle. We are living in a very exciting era of innovation, which includes being far more conscientious about our global community. With this in mind, we will continue to leverage our R&D to fine tune our designs, so they remain at the forefront of what us possible in terms of high quality, sustainable living.
